This workshop is an introduction to and hands-on exploration of the audio mixing process using Ableton Live.
Composer and audio engineer Kate Siefker will share their personal approach to mixing audio by breaking down each component using a unique x, y, and z-axis approach. This technique helps to contextualize the abstract nature of mixing by categorizing audio processes into three different parameters.
During the workshop, participants will learn how to identify and adjust different elements in their mix, such as the level of each track, EQ to adjust the frequency balance, and panning to create a stereo image.
This workshop is suitable for those with basic knowledge of Ableton Live.
